On the afternoon of the 10th, a production presentation for the new JTBC weekend drama 'Hip and Cool' (directed by Kim Suk-yoon and Choi Bo-yoon, written by Lee Nam-gyu, Oh Bo-hyun, Kim Da-hee, produced by Studio Phoenix and SLL) was held. Director Kim Suk-yoon, Han Ji-min, Lee Min-ki, and Suho attended the event.
Following 'King The Land,' starring Lee Jun-ho and Im Yoon-ah, 'Hip and Cool' is a comedic investigative drama set in the crime-free rural village of Mujin. It follows Bong Yeh-bun (played by Han Ji-min), a diligent veterinarian who gains the ability of psychometry, seeing the past of animals and humans, and Mun Jang-yeol (played by Lee Min-ki), an ambitious detective who needs her ability to return to Seoul.
Director Kim Suk-yoon said, "In our drama, Director Bong Yeh-bun, who is a veterinarian in a rural area, gains supernatural powers by chance. It's a handicap-like supernatural ability. Using this ability, she teams up with passionate detective Mun Jang-yeol, who wants to return to Seoul. It's a comedic investigative drama that also gets involved in a series of murder cases. I can introduce it as a drama where you can enjoy both comedy and thriller elements to the fullest."
Reuniting with writer Lee Nam-gyu after "Dazzling," director Kim Suk-yoon stated, "We first started with a sitcom. We had good chemistry with comedy. When it comes to dramas, they tend to be more serious, but after 'Joseon Detective,' we thought of trying a fun comedy again and that's how this drama came about."
Han Ji-min said, "Of course, the meaning of the work is important, and sometimes I choose a project because I feel the charm of the character. But actors who have experienced acting on the director's set always feel joy and happiness. I thought it was a romantic comedy, but it's a work that goes beyond that, having both extreme comedy and thriller elements. I have ambitions for comedy as an actor, but it's also a genre that requires courage. During 'Joseon Detective,' the director and writer portrayed something very appealing to me, so I chose it because I can trust them completely when it comes to breathing life into comedy."

MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Lover' is a human historical melodrama that depicts the love between lovers who are torn apart due to the Byeongjahoran (political factional strife during the late Joseon period) and the vitality of the people. The first episode of 'Lover,' which aired on August 4th, beautifully and gracefully portrayed the heart-fluttering encounter of the male and female protagonists, Namgoong Min (played by Lee Jang-hyun) and Ahn Eun-jin (Yu Gil-chae), heralding the birth of a high-quality historical drama.
Ahn Eun-jin takes on the role of Yu Gil-chae, a young lady who grew up elegantly in the noblewomen's quarters. 'Da-man Ma-eum-e-ro-man' is a collaboration between music director Kim Soo-han, who has been involved in over 60 works as a director and staff member, including dramas like 'Damo,' 'Kill Me, Heal Me,' and 'Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People,' and composer Jo Ran. This song, after being sung by the crossover musician and musical actor Kai in a male version, is now being released in a female version.
Drawing on her solid vocal skills developed through various musical stage experiences, Ahn Eun-jin makes her first appearance as a singer in an OST. Her delicate vocals, restrained yet poignant in 'Only With My Heart,' layer gently over the melody, capturing the heartfelt longing of Gil-chae for her loved one in the drama, promising to create a harmonious flow with the drama's narrative.
Ahn Eun-jin's rendition of the third OST, 'Only With My Heart,' from 'Lover' will be inserted into the 3rd and 4th episodes of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Lover,' which airs at 9:50 pm on the 11th and 12th. It will be subsequently released on various music streaming sites.
