The film 'Interview' (directed by Jo Young-jun) has completed the casting of actors Jo Yeo-jeong and Jung Sung-il, and will commence filming on the 17th.

'Interview' tells the story of Sun-joo (played by Jo Yeo-jeong), a veteran journalist who is desperate for an exclusive scoop, being approached by Yeong-hoon (played by Jung Sung-il), an unprecedented serial killer who has killed eleven people, for a special interview.

In 'Interview,' Jo Yeo-jeong, who has shown a stable acting ability through various character transformations in films like 'Parasite' (2019), 'Obsessed' (2014), and 'Target' (2014), will portray Sun-joo, a social affairs department journalist thirsty for an exclusive scoop, who possesses a personality devoid of pity or tears. She will showcase a new profession and a transformed character.

Jo Yeo-jeong expressed, "'Interview' has an appealing screenplay with a dense story within the interview between a journalist and a serial killer. I will do my best to convey the tension and cinematic thrill that I felt while reading the screenplay through the film."

Jung Sung-il, who received love from the public through dramas like 'The Glory' and 'Our Blues,' chose 'Interview' as his next project. The character Yeong-hoon, played by Jung Sung-il, has exceptional intellect and a meticulous personality that enables him to perfectly conceal his crimes, even in front of Sun-joo, a veteran journalist specializing in exclusive reports.

Jung Sung-il shared his thoughts on joining the film, saying, "I didn't hesitate for a second when I made the decision to take on this work after reading the last scene of the screenplay. I am pouring my all into preparations so that I won't let down anyone involved in this film. Please look forward to it."

Director Jo Young-jun, who made his debut in Chungmuro with the film 'Chaebi' (2017), took charge of the screenplay and directing for 'Interview.'

Director Jo Young-jun stated, "After the COVID-19 pandemic, I wanted to challenge myself with a new genre film that would be worth watching in theaters. I will prepare well so that the tense atmosphere between the interviewer and interviewee and the pressure from the space can blend harmoniously and successfully complete the filming."

'Interview' will commence filming on the 17th with the goal of releasing in 2024.
