There was no surprise. The protagonist of the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards was Song Hye Kyo.
On the 19th, the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards were held at Incheon Paradise City.
The grand prize of the night went to Song Hye Kyo, who portrayed the school violence victim, Moon Dong Hee, in the Netflix series "The Glory."
Upon receiving the award, Song Hye Kyo said, "It has been almost a year since we finished filming 'The Glory,' and I wanted to express my gratitude to the staff, but they are all on different sets right now, so I didn't get the chance. I'm happy to be able to deliver my thanks in this wonderful moment with such a great award."
She continued, "Director Ahn Gil-ho, who responded to my question mark with an exclamation mark on set, and the fellow actors who mentioned in interviews that they were influenced positively by my performance—I feel like I received even more from them. I am truly grateful to everyone," expressing her emotions through tears.
Especially, she thanked writer Kim Eun-sook, saying, "Thank you and I love you for entrusting me with Moon Dong Hee. You've always been a source of strength for me, and I'm grateful."
She went on to say, "I don't think there will be many more moments like this for me in the future. That's why I want to praise myself. 'Good job, Hye Kyo,'" receiving warm applause from the audience.
