"The Marvels" director Nia DaCosta revealed everything about "The Marvels" from Park Seo-joon's joining to what distinguishes him from other Marvel films.

Regarding the burden of directing the sequel "The Marvels" of "Captain Marvel," he replied, "I jumped in with the determination to make sequels for several movies, including Miz Marvel, WandaVision and Endgame, rather than a sequel," and expressed his determination, saying, "All the stories were woven together and they focused on finishing their journey."
As for the difference from other Marvel films, "This film was already a very differentiated subject. I added my vision and differences to this and finished focusing on action and emotion lines. I focused on my steps to maximize this dynamic," he replied.
In particular, Korean actor Park Seo-joon is drawing attention as he enters the MCU as Prince Jan in "The Marbles." Regarding the casting opportunity, director Nia DaCosta said, "When I was in the midst of Corona, my friend recommended it and I watched the drama 'Itaewon Class', and Park Seo-joon caught my eye. A few months later, a movie offer came in, and I contacted him directly because I thought Park Seo-joon was eligible for the role of Prince Jan.
Regarding how he felt about working together, he said, "Talent learning and bringing good energy to the field. "I was a fun person, so I worked in a pleasant atmosphere, receiving love from many people on the spot," he praised.
As for Park Seo-joon's amount, he said, "I wanted to go back to Captain Marvel's past through this movie. The contents are made up of people who met with the place where Captain Marvel went, and Prince Jan is one of them, he said. "It's short in screen time, but it plays an important role as an impactful role."
As for Park Seo-joon's role in the movie, "I can't give you much information. It's not fun if you know it," he said, but hinted that he was a person who played the role of monarch as Prince Yan and had a deep history with Captain Marvel. "The conflict arises when the two are thrown into the world of Captain Marvel, and in the process of resolving it, we focused on balancing individual journeys and stories so that the three characters could shine," he said. "I tried to differentiate the action style in the battle scene as well." This is because the character's personality, background, and power are different. "I can also see them evolving in the midst of the three of them working together to fight," he explained about the directing point.
The planet Aladna, where Captain Marvel meets Prince Jan, is a place where people communicate through dance and song.
