Comedian Jang Dong-min revealed his secret to success in winning at poker.

Jang Dong-min recently won the high roller category at the Asia Poker Championship (APC) held in Da Nang, Vietnam from February 27th to March 5th, competing against players from various nationalities such as Vietnam, Philippines, and Poland. On March 8th, he shared his feelings about the win in a phone interview with Expo News.

As the main MC and poker master of the web entertainment program "Poker Face", Jang Dong-min humbly said, "I led the program and wanted to try challenging the world championship once. Fortunately, my results were good." He also expressed his hope for more Korean players to emerge and raise their position in the hold'em game globally.

Last year, Jang Dong-min also participated in a tournament in Las Vegas and achieved the honor of winning in his second attempt. He said, "I thought it would be difficult, but I studied a lot and tried again."

With his win, Jang Dong-min received a prize of KRW 50 million and revealed his ambition to invest in more world championship participation. He had previously won in the mentally challenging programs "The Genius 3" and "The Genius 4 Grand Final".

Jang Dong-min jokingly said, "I'm good at mental control or reading patterns of players, but honestly, I lived in the gutter and ate 'nunchi' rice (meaning being alert and observant of others) when I was young." While recognizing that there are many better players than him, he humbly admitted, "I'm really just average."
