Today (15th) at midnight, the first episode of the web drama 'Cheer Up the Boy!' starring Jae-han and Ye-chan was unveiled through various OTT platforms.
'Cheer Up the Boy!' is based on the webtoon of the same name (written by Dong-mul), which maintained a high ranking during its serialization on Lezhin Comics. The story is a heart-fluttering youth growth romance about the quirky outsider archery student Da-yeol (Kim Jae-han) and the two-faced popular class leader Tae-hyun (Shin Ye-chan) with a secret, as they find each other's targets.
In today's broadcast, the confused first encounter between Da-yeol and Tae-hyun, which caused a huge misunderstanding in the school infirmary, was portrayed. The conflict between the two began when Tae-hyun did not easily return Da-yeol's spin-gait, which is like a talisman for his dedication to archery. The sweet and thrilling relationship between the two boys, gradually getting closer to each other, was foreshadowed.
Jae-han and Ye-chan made a strong impact as the protagonists from the first broadcast, transforming into the calm yet quirky Da-yeol and the bright yet inscrutable Tae-hyun, respectively. Despite their first acting challenge, the two demonstrated stable acting skills, delicate emotional lines, and a fantastic synergy with a different kind of chemistry as the "oldest and youngest" members of the group.
In addition, the handsome visuals of Jae-han and Ye-chan, which perfectly matched their characters, added to the drama's appeal. Jae-han captured sincere passion in his attractive mask with a strong gaze that suited a sports club member, while Ye-chan made viewers' hearts tremble with his big eyes and mischievous smile. The two created an irresistible, mysterious atmosphere and a perfect visual combination, raising expectations for a refreshing high-teen romance with no exit.
Meanwhile, 'Cheer Up the Boy!' starring Omega X's Jae-han and Ye-chan will be released every Wednesday and Thursday, starting with the first episode today (15th) on WATCHA, Wavve, and TVING, and will later be available on various platforms, including IPTV (KT Genie TV, SK Btv, LG U+tv).
