tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama "Gumiho: Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938" (directed by Kang Shin-hyo, written by Han Woo-ri, produced by Studio Dragon and How Pictures) is a K-fantasy action historical drama that unfolds as the gumiho Lee Yeon (played by Lee Dong-wook) who landed in the chaotic era of 1938 strives to return to the present day.

With its unique and intricate fusion of indigenous gods and native yokai, the drama presents an expanded universe with heightened action, an expanded scale, and diverse characters from folklore, making a comeback after three years.

The reunion of director Kang Shin-hyo, who showcased the essence of K-fantasy, and writer Han Woo-ri, whom we trust and anticipate, further excites drama fans.
