Actress Im Ji-yeon has hinted at a perfect character transformation in "The House with a Courtyard."

Scheduled to premiere on June 19th on Gini TV, the drama "The House with a Courtyard" (directed by Jung Ji-hyun, written by Ji-ani, produced by KT Studio Genie, Studio Dragon, and Dorothy Films) is a suspense thriller based on the bestselling novel of the same name. It tells the story of two women who meet and experience completely different lives due to a mysterious smell emanating from the backyard. Im Ji-yeon takes on the role of Sang-eun, a woman who dreams of escaping from a dismal reality, and aims for a perfect transformation in her acting, surpassing her previous works. With the public's attention focused on Im Ji-yeon's next project as the leading actress, she revealed her reason for joining "The House with a Courtyard," stating, "I fell in love with the original novel and the script. Even if it wasn't the role of Sang-eun, I would have chosen to participate. The common denominator between the two women was impressive, and as an actress, I wanted to experience the lives of women who live like that. Additionally, I was curious and intrigued about the unfolding story while reading the script."

Above all, Im Ji-yeon finds herself in a situation where she has to portray a character who is completely different in terms of visuals and personality compared to her previous work. Although it may be challenging to immerse herself in this new role, Im Ji-yeon stated, "The character felt like something I really wanted to portray while reading the script. Rather than finding it difficult to immerse myself, I saw it as another challenge as an actress. It was a project I had chosen before my previous work was released, and coincidentally, two contrasting characters came back-to-back. Rather than wanting to erase the previous character, I am excited to showcase a new side to the viewers."
