“Concrete Utopia,” an upcoming sci-fi disaster movie starring Lee Byung-hun, has been pre-sold to 152 countries ahead of its release.

The rights to the film were sold in 152 countries as of Tuesday, distributor Lotte Entertainment announced the same day. Countries that “Concrete Utopia” is sold to include France, Italy, Japan and Mexico.

Lotte Entertainment explained that such pre-sales reflect foreign moviegoers’ interest in “Concrete Utopia.”

“Concrete Utopia” also stars Park Bo-young and “Parasite” (2019) cast Park Seo-joon. It tells the story of survivors gathered in the only remaining apartment in Seoul after an earthquake.

The film is directed by Um Tae-hwa, who directed “Vanishing Time: A Boy Who Returned” (2016) and “The Battle of Internet Trolls” (2013), the latter of which was nominated for the Best New Director award at the 50th Baeksang Arts Awards.

“Concrete Utopia” is scheduled to be released in August.
