Coupang Play announced a groundbreaking development ahead of the premiere of the TV Chosun weekend drama "Ms. Durian" on the 24th. The drama, written by P.B. and directed by Shin Woo-chul, portrays the mysterious fate of two unidentified women who appear at the Dan family's mansion on a night when a lunar eclipse occurs, intertwining their bizarre destinies transcending time. It is the first fantasy melodrama presented by the renowned writer, Im Seong-han, who has always stirred excitement with each broadcast.
Through three previously released teasers, "Ms. Durian" has hinted at unexpected and intense storytelling. The teasers reveal the story of Durian (Park Jumi), a noblewoman from the Joseon era, and Kim Sojeo (Lee Da-yeon), abruptly transported to the present, as they become entangled in a fateful relationship with the wealthy men of the Dan family, surpassing the boundaries of time and social status. The intricate human relationships between them have piqued anticipation.
The teasers portray various events that unfold as Durian and Kim Sojeo, who were living ordinary lives, suddenly find themselves in the present. The secretive human relationships within the lavish party of the Dan family gradually surface.
The released teasers, along with their rapid developments, offer glimpses of the dramatic dialogue that "Ms. Durian" will deliver. One scene, in particular, has garnered significant attention, featuring an audacious confession by Jang Sae-mi. Jang Sae-mi is seen lying down and attempting to kiss her mother-in-law Baek Do-i (Choi Myeong-gil) as she declares, "Mother, I love you. Not as a daughter-in-law, but as a woman." This scene, characteristic of P.B.'s writing style, presents a shocking and secretive development that fuels anticipation.
