"Smuggling" is a maritime crime drama that unfolds a story of individuals who make a living by retrieving essential goods thrown into the sea, only to be caught up in a once-in-a-lifetime smuggling operation.

Firstly, Kim Hye-soo, in the role of Jo Choon-ja, captivates the audience with her intense gaze that seems to pierce through the screen. As one of Korea's leading actors, known for her exceptional acting skills that bring depth and weight to her performances, Kim Hye-soo is expected to deliver raw and powerful acting in the role of Jo Choon-ja. Yeom Jung-ah, portraying Eom Jin-suk, Choon-ja's best friend and the leader of the female divers involved in smuggling, exudes charisma with her serious yet loyal demeanor. Regardless of the genre, Yeom Jung-ah, who skillfully embodies both intense characters and human aspects, is anticipated to showcase even more dense and compelling acting.

Reuniting with director Ryoo Seung-wan after "The Battleship Island," Cho In-sung takes on the role of Kwon Sang-sa, the smuggling kingpin who enters the smuggling operation with his business acumen and malicious nature. Cho In-sung's visual appearance perfectly matches the character of Kwon Sang-sa, and his intense acting style and aura, different from his previous filmography, align well with the atmosphere of "Smuggling."

Park Jung-min, portraying the youngest member Jang Do-ri, who has never seen the world outside of the smuggling ring between Jo Choon-ja and Eom Jin-suk, embodies the unique retro vibe of the 1970s in "Smuggling" with distinctive costumes and makeup. Park Jung-min, with his own charismatic acting style, will showcase the multifaceted development of Jang Do-ri, transitioning from an innocent youngster to someone who gradually opens their eyes to the world of smuggling.

Kim Jong-soo, in the role of Customs Officer Lee Jang-chun, plays a pivotal role in capturing those who dive into the dangerous smuggling world. Known for his realistic acting in theater and film, Kim Jong-soo's distinct image captures attention and adds to the allure of "Smuggling."

Lastly, Go Min-si, the hidden gem of "Smuggling," undergoes a surprising transformation as the young Madam Go Ok-boon, complete with seagull-like eyebrows and heavy makeup. Go Min-si's confident and delightful charm is highly anticipated as she portrays the vibrant and knowledgeable character of Madam Go Ok-boon, starting as a café assistant and gradually becoming a madam.

"Smuggling" is set to release on July 26th.
