"I want to become someone who exudes even more humanity both on and off the screen."
On the 22nd, fashion magazine 'Arena Homme+' released a photo shoot and interview with Kim Tae Hee. On this day, he talked about behind-the-scenes stories of the filming of the new drama 'The House with a Yard,' his recent favorite works, and his future goals.
'The House with a Yard' is Kim Tae Hee's first thriller work in his career. Regarding the new project, Kim Tae Hee said, "Both 'The House with a Yard' and 'Moonju Ran' were completely unfamiliar genres and characters," and added, "But I didn't act with the mindset of 'I have to show a completely different Kim Tae Hee.' I simply thought, 'I am Moonju,'" he said. Kim Tae Hee has appeared in many successful works, from 'Stairway to Heaven' to 'Love Story in Harvard,' 'Iris,' and 'Yong Pal.' What was the turning point in his acting career? "The work that became a turning point for me is 'Grand Prix.' That's where I first met senior actor Yang Dong Geun. I learned from him, 'I can immerse myself in a character to this extent,' 'I can interpret and express the same scene in this way,' 'To bring a scene to life, these things are necessary.' It became the first turning point in my acting career."
Lastly, when asked how he would like to be remembered as an actor after 20 years, Kim Tae Hee replied, "An actor who is curious about the next project. It would be a great blessing if I can continue to work on projects even after 20 years. I also have a desire to become an actor who is more relatable than I am now. People who know me well are aware that I am a very simple and ordinary person, but viewers may not know that. I want to become someone who exudes even more humanity both on and off the screen."
